Yesterday morning we got an email from an 18 year old older sister who was looking for help to feed her siblings while school is out for the summer as their mom battles leukemia. Immediately we put out a call to our supporters & within hours, she had groceries for her family.
We don’t believe in a one size fits all approach so we always ask the families what foods they like. She told us basic needs & that anything would help. In true 100 People Project fashion, we sent more because children deserve some goodies in the summer time. She said they could not believe it! They were so happy to see the extras we included for them.
Thank you to everyone who donated. Together, several of you took the burden of where their next meal will come from off a family who already has enough burdens.
